New information has come to light about the untimely demises of renowned film director Rob Reiner and artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were found at their Los Angeles home home on Sunday.

A source indicates citing a confidential source, a therapist scheduled for an session first raised the alarm after failing to get inside the house. The therapist then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives in the vicinity.

When she went into the home, Romy discovered her father's body. It is said she then left the home distraught, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Another individual who had accompanied her contacted 911. Afterward, paramedics located Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Proceedings

Law enforcement have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of first-degree murder, including the charge related to a weapon, said to be a knife. He is currently being held without bail.

Disputed Reports

The confidential informant challenged several initial details. They said that while Romy Reiner told first responders that her brother Nick lived in a separate structure on the grounds, she did not point to him as a person of interest at that juncture.

Furthermore disputed published notions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been particularly "worried" about Nick's actions in the preceding period. Rather the family was "familiar with working through [Nick's] problems together."

This refutation also extends to accounts of alleged "erratic" behavior by Nick at a gathering hosted by Conan O'Brien on the night before the tragedy. Although the source noted they were unable to confirm whether Rob had "chastised" his son at the party, they asserted that claims of a "major confrontation" between the two were inaccurate.

Ongoing Inquiry Details

According to law enforcement sources, the coroner had not yet established at that point whether the Reiners died Saturday night or on Sunday. Some accounts suggested the state of their bodies pointed to they had been dead for a number of hours.

Nick Reiner was arrested at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the neighbourhood of Exposition Park, some 15 miles from the scene. He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, but his legal counsel, Alan Jackson, stated his client had not been medically cleared and would not be present until Wednesday or later.
